Ah, depth of field. Forgot all about it.
Most of the time I can’t use it due to dynamic aspects of the image, like gunshots or rocket trails. Here, everything is still.
The headcrab in the top left is a posed one. It was very deliberately placed in front of that convenient path of light.
There’s also a light in the room you enter this area from. Otherwise it was too dark and you couldn’t really see the man.
While you can no-collide ragdolls with physics props (e.g. weapons), you can’t do that for static props, in this case the railings. So the man’s hand is actually above the railing, not touching.
Their faces are posed, but you probably can’t tell.
